The Tourism conclave will be of two days event on 12th and 13th June, 2009 at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla and Shimla Mega Mart will be organized from 12th to 15th June, 2009. This was revealed in a meeting held here today presided over by Smt. Manisha Nanda, Secretary Tourism.
The purpose of the conclave is to expose Himachal Pradesh at national and international level for investment. The sessions during the conclave will be on infrastructure: need of the State, new tourism trends with special focus on strategy for developing health tourism, eco-tourism, adventure tourism. developing Himachal as a film destination and on proposed policy direction plan for sustainable tourism development in Himachal Pradesh.
The eminent personalities will participate in the conclave to address different sessions.
In the Shimla Mega Mart Himachal Pradesh Show Cases on different products, art facets, handloom, handicrafts , agricultural and horticultural produces will be displayed.
Smt. Manisha Nanda requested all the departments to cooperate in making this mega event a success.
