    Raghunath Temple

    Built by Raja Jagat Singh in 1650-1660 Raghunath temple is a famous temple of Kullu. Rahgunath temple is known for its seven day long Dussehra festivals This temple is dedicated to Lord Raghunath Ji that is Lord Rama. The belief is that the idol in the temple is taken from ‘Tretanath temple’ of Ayodhaya and the popular belief is that it is the same idol that was used by Lord Rama at the time of performance of Ashwamedh Yagya.

    Temple is just 15 minutes run away from bus stand Kullu. The temple architecture is a curious blend of Pyramidal and Pahari style. Puja is held here five times a day and 45 festivals are held round the year

    Bijli Mahadev Temple

    Bijli Mahadev temple is situated in the height of 2438 meters. In winter season this temple is covered by snow. This temple is the ancient temple of Kullu. It is a small temple situated in the top of hill. In this temple of lightning it is said that the tall staff attracts the divine blessings in the form of lightning. It is believed that the priest of the temple has to restore the Shiva linga placed inside the temple using butter and sattoo after every lightning as it shatters to pieces with flash of lightning.Read more…

    Hidimba Devi Temple

    Hidimba Devi Temple is situated in Manali. This temple is famous for its wooden structure. This temple situated in the height of 1830 meters. The famous festival of this temple is Dusshera. In summer season you can see a great rush in this temple. Hadimba was a giantess who meditated at his place. She married to Bhima, one of the five Pandavas who visited here during their exile (Mahabharata Period). Because of her penance, she attained the position of Durga.Read More…

    Rohtang Pass

    At an altitude of 3979 m (13,050 ft) above sea level, is another adventure tourist site where it can be cold even on a summer day. It is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong road and provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds, which is truly breath taking. Close by is a small lake called Dassaur Lake.     Solang Valley popularly known as Snow Point, is 13 km northwest of Manali and famous for its 300-meter ski lift. It is a picturesque spot and offers splendid views of glaciers and the snow-capped mountains. Jagatsukh, the former capital of Manali, is also an important spot. The sports most commonly offered are parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing.It has fine ski slopes.

    Manikaran

    ManikaranManikaran is located in the Parvati Valley between the rivers Vyaas and Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 1760 m and is located about 45 km from Kullu. Manikaran is a pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Sikhs. The Hindus believe that Manu recreated human life in Manikaran after the flood, making it a sacred area. It has many temples and a gurudwara.There are temples of Lord Rama, Krishna, and Vishnu.The area is well-known for its hot springs and its beautiful landscape. Read More…

    Manali

    ManaliManali is situated near the end of the valley on the National Highway leading to Leh,40 kms. away from Kulu to the north. The landscape here is breath taking. One sees well-defined snow capped peaks, the Beas river with its clear water meanders through the town. On the other side are deodar and pine trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards. It is an excellent place for a holiday, a favorite resort for trekkers to Lahaul, Spiti, Kinnaur, Leh and Zanskar regions in Kashmir valley.
